Testimonials:
Cost & Management Accounting, Texas State University:
Professor Malon always engaged the class and made being there enjoyable. The lectures were incredibly beneficial, especially due to the outlines and other resources that he provided before each unit. He is always incredibly helpful and understanding, especially when issues arose that were unavoidable to students (such as technology problems). Professors like him are invaluable to the university and make learning such a great experience. Professor Malon would be the perfect example of what I, and I'm sure many others, would wish to see in their instructors. 10/10 would recommend, so please hire more professors like him!
Professor Mallon was very encouraging and supportive. He brought in real emotions, life experiences, and personal stories that made the class feel more comfortable to learn in. He also has a great sense of humor and a compelling teaching style, particularly in his concise and thoughtful explanations of every little detail. He has become my favorite university professor to date (with only 2 semesters remaining), and I hope he continues to thrive as an educator, friend, and resource to Texas State and its students
Professor Mallon made the course very easy to understand, I am not as “talented” with the accounting principles, but was still able to learn and develop new skills with his teaching style. I really appreciate the time and effort he puts into this class with making it entertaining and well and engaging. Professor Mallon structured and had everything organized to help simplify the class and the workload to make it clear.
Professor Mallon provided ample time during class for students to ask questions, he was very thorough during lectures. He also showed he cares about the academics of his students and treated all the students with respect and never made them feel out of place when they didn't initially understand the concept.
Professor Mallon was very easy to work with. very flexible with his students and never made his students feel scared to ask any question. great sense of humor, he made the space feel safe for students to learn.
Introduction to Financial Accounting, Indiana University:
He explained the problems so well and gave us multiple ways to solve them. I also liked that he explained why we were doing each thing, instead of just telling us how to do the math and go through the motions.
He made the class a very welcoming environment; he spoke to students more as if they were peers than as if they were introductory college students.
I appreciated the genuine enthusiasm of Professor Mallon and how committed he (very clearly) is to helping students learn. When accounting can be possibly made fun... Professor Mallon made it fun.
Management Accounting & Analysis, Indiana University:
Tim was an excellent teacher throughout this course, bringing a vibrant energy to teaching and making sure the students understand everything that [is] going on in the class by going in–depth on subject matters.
Tim was very approachable and was always willing to help... He was encouraging and kind and that motivated me to do my best work.
Mr. Mallon had a very good personality and made the class incredibly engaging and fun. Despite this class being many people's last class of the week and rather late in the evening, Mr. Mallon always brought a good sense of humor to the discussion that encouraged everyone to work.
